Every cozy evening needs a cat, even a stitched one. These cat cross stitch patterns are full of the little moments cat people know by heart: a calico watching a bluebird from a sunny windowsill, a ginger kitten peeking out of a mug, a gray tabby loafing on a patchwork quilt, three cats stacked like a furry totem, and a black cat sitting on a crescent moon.

Cute cat cross stitch, mostly beginner friendly
Four of the five designs are marked beginner. Black Cat & Crescent Moon uses only 6 colors on navy fabric, and Cat in a Mug is a quick 44 x 50 stitch. Cat in the Window is the bigger intermediate piece at 70 x 80, with houseplants and 12 colors to enjoy.
A black cat cross stitch makes a lovely quick gift, and the Cat Stack is tall and narrow if you have an awkward bit of wall to fill. Stitch them for your own sofa corner or for the cat lover in your life.
Each pattern includes full-color, black & white, large print and Pattern Keeper PDFs plus a DMC floss key. Want more beginner-sized projects? Browse the beginner cross stitch patterns.
