There's something so steadying about a cross stitch sampler. Row after row of little motifs, an alphabet, a border that slowly closes around it all. These are my heirloom pieces: big, meditative projects with old-fashioned charm, made to be framed and handed down. Sampler cross stitch with a vintage feel
These are bigger projects, from 98 x 122 up to 120 x 160 stitches, so plan for many cozy evenings. The good news is the palettes are small. The Redwork Sampler uses a single color and is marked beginner, and the Quaker Motif Band Sampler uses just three, so you can relax into the rhythm without constant thread changes.
The Little House Sampler has an "Est." date line you can change to your own year, which makes a sweet wedding or new-home gift. The alphabet sampler's thick-and-thin capitals look wonderful on linen.
Big charts are where the large print PDF really earns its place. Each pattern also includes full-color, black & white and Pattern Keeper PDFs plus a DMC floss key.

Are these patterns a physical kit?
No, these are digital PDF patterns. You download them instantly after checkout. Fabric, thread and hoop are not included, and each pattern lists exactly which DMC colors you need.
Are they suitable for beginners?
Every pattern has an honest difficulty label. Beginner patterns use a small palette, full cross stitches only and very little confetti, so they are lovely first projects.
Can I use Pattern Keeper?
Yes. Every pattern includes a Pattern Keeper friendly PDF along with the full-color and black & white charts.
