Pattern license

Personal use. You may sell small quantities of finished, hand-stitched pieces made from a Hoop & Hearth pattern (credit appreciated). You may not resell, share, or redistribute the pattern files or charts.

In plain words

You can

• Stitch the pattern as many times as you like, for yourself and as gifts.
• Print the pattern for your own use, and use it in apps like Pattern Keeper.
• Sell small quantities of finished pieces you stitched by hand yourself, for example at a craft fair or in a small online shop. Credit to Hoop & Hearth is appreciated.
• Share photos of your finished piece anywhere. I'd love to see them!
• Change colors or details to make the piece your own.

Please don't

• Share, upload, email or post the pattern files or charts (including in groups, on file-sharing sites or as part of a kit).
• Resell or redistribute the patterns, or sell kits that include a copy of the chart.
• Mass-produce finished pieces, or use machine embroidery to reproduce the designs.
• Claim the design as your own.

Teaching and groups

If you'd like to use a pattern for a class, a stitch-along or a charity project, please ask me first. I say yes to most requests.

Why it matters

Hoop & Hearth is a small, independent shop. Every pattern takes many hours to design and chart. When the files are shared for free, it gets harder for me to keep making new ones. Thank you for helping keep the hearth warm. ♡
