About this pattern
I think every cat person knows this view: the back of a fluffy head, ears up, tail dangling over the edge of the windowsill, completely absorbed in a little bird outside. I designed this calico watcher sitting between a trailing pothos and a tiny cactus, with soft clouds in the window behind her.
It's 70 x 80 stitches in 12 DMC colors, about 5 x 5.7 inches on 14 count, so it frames beautifully in a 7 inch hoop or a small frame. The window panes are the biggest areas of color, which makes them nice relaxing rows while you watch the scene come together. The bluebird and the plants are the fun little details at the end.
I'd stitch it on white or antique white Aida. It's a lovely gift for anyone with a window-watching cat at home, or for a plant lover's reading nook.
You'll get the full-color chart, a black and white chart, a large-print version and a Pattern Keeper compatible PDF, plus the floss key with DMC numbers.
