About this pattern
If I could shrink down and live anywhere, it would be in a little toadstool house like this one. It has a red spotted roof, a round wooden door, two glowing windows with pink flower boxes and a tiny chimney poking out of the top.
It's designed with beginners in mind: big, friendly blocks of color and only a handful of small details. The 12 DMC colors cover the red cap with its white spots, a soft cream stem, warm wood for the door and windows, and two greens for the grassy base.
The finished piece is 60 x 72 stitches, about 4.3 x 5.1 inches on 14 count Aida, so a 6 or 7 inch hoop is perfect. It looks sweet on antique white or cream fabric.
It's a lovely gift for anyone who dreams in cottagecore, a cheerful nursery decoration, or just a happy little project for you. I like it hanging in a hoop on the kitchen wall, where it makes me smile every morning.
