About this pattern

Every Christmas tree needs a gingerbread man, and this one has rosy cheeks, wiggly icing on his arms and legs, and two gumdrop buttons.

He's 34 x 40 stitches (about 2.4 x 2.9 inches on 14 count Aida) in just 6 colors, all whole cross stitches, so he's a lovely first project or a quick stitch for a cozy evening. I like to stitch a few at once and tuck them into Christmas cards.

Finish it as a felt-backed shaped ornament, or pop it in a 3 to 4 inch round hoop or ornament frame with a loop of ribbon. It also makes a sweet gift tag that someone will actually keep.

You get a full color chart, a black and white symbol chart, a large print chart, a Pattern Keeper compatible PDF and a floss key with DMC numbers. It's a digital PDF pattern, so no fabric or thread is included.

Right after checkout you land on your order page with download links for every file, plus a "download all" zip. Links work for 7 days, and you can reopen your order page anytime to get fresh links.

Is this a physical kit?

No. This is a digital PDF download. No fabric, thread or hoop is included and nothing is shipped. The floss key lists every DMC color you need.

How do I print it?

Print at 100% scale (or "actual size") on US Letter or A4 paper. The black & white chart saves ink and is easy to read. You can also stitch straight from a tablet.

Does it work with Pattern Keeper?

Yes. A Pattern Keeper friendly PDF is included, so you can import it and mark stitches off as you go. Backstitch (if any) is listed separately, because Pattern Keeper only tracks full crosses.

What is the free bonus pack?
