About this pattern
Spin, spin, spin! These three little dreidels are pure Hanukkah fun, and they are a really easy, happy stitch.
There's a blue dreidel, a gold one and a silver one, each showing one of the Hebrew letters you'll find on a dreidel: nun, gimel and shin. I kept the letters simple and bold so they're easy to stitch and easy to read. A few gold and silver gelt coins are scattered along the bottom, just like the end of a good game.
It's 60 x 44 stitches in only 6 DMC colors, about 4.3 x 3.1 inches on 14 count Aida. The shapes are big blocks of color with a darker side on each dreidel, so it's a sweet first project for a beginner or an older child learning to stitch alongside you.
I like it on antique white Aida, but white or a pale blue fabric looks great too. Pop it in a 5 inch hoop or stitch it onto a card.
Hanukkah starts on the evening of December 4, 2026 and runs through December 12, so there's plenty of time to stitch one for your own table and one to give away.
